Welcome to the 20th Neuro-DoWo
30^th and 31^st of July 2009

The 20^th Neuro-DoWo (Neurobiologischer Doktoranden-Workshop) will be held on the 30^th and 31^st of July 2009 in Würzburg. The DoWo was founded in 1990 by Professor Menzel, Professor Pflüger, and Professor Erber. It was created to provide young phd-students with an annual forum in which to get together, establish contacts, and discuss their projects in a scientific atmosphere. The DoWo takes place at a different location every year. It is organised and conducted by PhD-students of the respective host-university, without any help or interference by professors or postdocs. Two Professors are invited to contribute a guest-talk, the remaining scientific programme is delivered exclusively by PhD-students.

The DoWo offers PhD-students the chance to practise scientific communication by means of talks, posters, and discussions.
